The Sun Walks Down

Set in 1883 in the desolate Flinders Ranges of South Australia, the story is ignited when a six-year-old boy, Denny Wallace, wanders away from his family’s farm during a dust storm. As the town organizes a massive search, the narrative expands to follow a diverse cast of characters—including a local constable, an Indigenous tracker, a Swedish artist, and a newly married couple. While they search for the boy, the harsh, majestic landscape begins to exert its own "possessive" influence, revealing the secrets, prejudices, and strange obsessions of the people walking its soil.
