The Goddess Test

The story follows Kate Winters, a seventeen-year-old girl who moves to her mother's childhood home in the small town of Eden after her mother receives a terminal cancer diagnosis. While grieving and fearful of the future, Kate encounters the enigmatic and mesmerizing Henry, who reveals himself to be Hades, the god of the Underworld. Henry proposes a bargain: if Kate agrees to take the "Goddess Test"—a series of seven difficult trials—and succeeds, he will save her mother's life. However, Kate soon discovers that every girl before her who has attempted the test has died.
