Half His Age

The story follows Waldo, a 17-year-old girl living in Anchorage, Alaska. Waldo is a character defined by her "voracious" nature—she addictively consumes sex, social media, and clothing in a desperate attempt to fill an internal void. Her primary obsession, however, is her creative writing teacher, Mr. Korgy. He is a middle-aged man with a family, and Waldo's pursuit of him is less about romance and more about a dark, addictive need for validation. The novel explores the blurry lines of grooming, the hollowness of digital consumerism, and the frantic search for identity.
