Unlike the original classic, this standalone volume features two separate, spooky tales that interweave in a suspenseful conclusion. The story follows Lu-Ann Franklin, who is dreading a boring Halloween, and her best friend Devin O'Bannon, who is forced away on a trip. When Lu-Ann comes face-to-face with the legendary, cursed Haunted Mask, her night turns into a nightmare as the mask begins to take control. Meanwhile, Devin discovers that the remote farm where he is staying holds its own terrifying, supernatural secrets.
