Choker

The story follows Ike Schwartz, the former sheriff of Picketsville, Virginia, who is vacationing near the Delaware shore when he is approached by his old CIA friend, Charlie Garland. Garland asks Ike to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his niece’s fiancé, Nick Reynolds. Nick, a novice pilot, vanished off the radar while flying over the Chesapeake Bay, and authorities have dismissed it as a tragic case of pilot error. However, Ike’s investigation into the missing person case soon pulls him into an international conspiracy involving terrorism and national security threats.
